CyberQuest - POGIL Template

POGIL activity template

A reusable blank layout for writing new guided-inquiry activities in the CyberQuest style. Copy this file, then replace each bracketed placeholder. Keep Models concrete (a figure, table, or short data set) and write Critical Thinking Questions that lead a team to discover the idea before any hint.

How to use this template (for authors)

1. Duplicate this file and rename it (for example hashing.html). 2. Fill in the title, objectives, and prerequisites. 3. Build one to three Models, each followed by questions that move from "what do you notice" to "explain why". 4. Put any answers inside the green "Check your thinking" boxes so learners reveal them only after agreeing. 5. End with an Application that connects to a notebook or a free tool, and a short Reflection on teamwork.

Learning objectives

Team roles

Manager - keeps time, makes sure everyone participates, and keeps the team on task.
Recorder - writes the team's agreed answers and notes any questions to ask.
Presenter - speaks for the team and shares answers with the class.
Reflector - watches how the team works together and suggests one improvement.
